This page catalogues the progression of our Nanking Cherries.
I planted 3 of these in Spring of 23’. They are rated at Zone 7 & below, and they did struggle this year but I believe they all lived to go dormant. I planted them under the Osage Orange trees so they would get afternoon shade. I am hoping they will be able to put out some good roots this winter to be better established and spring up well next year. I will likely put little 30% shade cloths over them in the summer.

I added my ring of compost & mulch technique to all 3 today. 12/18/23. Here’s pics of 2 of them before the mulch layer.
